Lejeune Clinic hosts speech and language online sessions for Parents & Carers of Children with Down’s Syndrome

Jan 7, 2026

These sessions offer an excellent opportunity for parents and caregivers to connect with a Speech and Language Therapist and discover effective ways to support their child’s communication skills.

Each session provides tailored advice to suit your child’s age and stage of development.

Topics may include feeding and eating, learning through play, and sound development.

You can ask any questions you have, and the therapist will help you problem-solve with practical tips and advice.

Therapists use evidence-based parent and child interaction strategies to promote language development. The strategies are simple to understand, and the sessions create a comfortable environment where you can ask questions, build confidence, and share approaches with your child’s school or nursery.

The small group sessions also give you a chance to meet other parents, share experiences, and offer mutual support.

Sessions provide ongoing support tailored to each family’s needs, ensuring lasting progress in your child’s communication skills.
