Richmond Mencap shares the Royal Mencap vision of an organisation where everyone who uses learning disability services has an equal right to choice, opportunity and respect, with adequate support for individual need: support being similarly available to their family carers and other family members.
Richmond Mencap exists to improve the lives and opportunities of children and adults who use learning disability services within Richmond upon Thames, their family carers and other family members by means of:
Richmond Mencap have provided care in the community for over forty years, ensuring respite to family carers as well as investing in the development of our children and young adults who use learning disability services, not forgetting our comprehensive welfare support, which has proven to be a valuable service within our local community. We are extremely proud of the success of our projects and we continue to try and improve and expand on the services that we currently run.
